Feb. 15, 2004 – Recycling resumes on St. John Feb. 18, according to a release from the Anti-Litter and Beautification Commission, St. Thomas-St. John District.
Corrugated cardboard, aluminum cans, No. 1 plastics, office paper and glass can be redeemed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays at St. John's Inspection Lane. The commission pays 25 cents per pound for No. 1 plastics, 5 cents per pound for corrugated cardboard, office paper, newspapers and glass, and 50 cents per pound for aluminum cans.
