CORPORATIONS SUPPORT DOBER READING PROGRAMS

Feb. 8, 2004 – Dr. Elise Caiby-Warner, principal of the Leonard Dober Elementary School, has issued thanks on behalf of the students, faculty and staff to community corporate citizens for support of the school's reading programs.
Caiby-Warner thanked "Kenzie Financial Management and its president, Daniel Spritzer, for its monetary donation, which will support the schools' Reading is Fundamental program." The RIF program is "intended to encourage recreational reading and to motivate students to build home libraries," she said in a release. Under this program, books are distributed to each student three times a year.
Another corporate citizen, the Water and Power Authority, which has adopted the school, "has also provided us with a monetary donation to assist with the Family Reading Night Initiative," Caiby-Warner added. "This program brings families together in the school setting for an evening of reading and arts and crafts activities." This program also provides students with a book for their home libraries.
