Feb. 1, 2004 – The St. Thomas/St. John Chamber of Commerce announces a seminar on "Creating a Meaningful Business Direction," the first in a series of professional enhancement seminars, from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Chamber's office in downtown Charlotte Amalie.
The seminar, facilitated by Russ Grieger, Ph.D. and Tom Tyne, Ph.D., of Organizational Consulting Associates of the Caribbean, will provide business leaders an opportunity to not only learn how to create a meaningful business direction, but also develop an action plan they can immediately put to use in their company, a release said.
Creating business direction is a dynamic strategic planning process necessary for organizational success. It starts with the creation of the company's mission, vision, and values, and is followed by the interaction of three related processes: (1) strategic goal setting; (2) structured communication to create a force field to propel people to realize the goals; and (3) alignment of each individual to the company goals through accountability and responsibility.
The cost for individual participation is $35 per seminar or $245 for all eight seminars. For a company or organization with three or more people who would like to participate, the cost is $30 per person/per seminar or $200 per person for all eight seminars.
