FUNERAL IS MONDAY FOR DUANE NORFORD, 26

Jan. 23, 2004 – Viewings will be Sunday and Monday, with funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ Church Market Square for Duane Recaldo Norford, who died Jan. 18 at Lindqvist Beach, St. Thomas, at the age of 26.
Viewings will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, at John Thomas Chapel, and from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Monday at Christ Church Market Square before the service. Burial will be in Western Cemetery No. 3.
A veteran of the United States Army, he was employed by the V.I. Port Authority.
He is survived by his father, Victor Norford; mother, Beverly Norford; aunts, Thelma Gumbs, Rupertha Grant, Valerie Weekes, Simoneta Drew, and Hillary, Hermine, Mavis, Leona, Randoline, Sonia, Merclyn, Beverly, and Yvette Gumbs; uncles, Norton Hanley, St. Clair Hanley, Melvin Hanley, Stanley Hanley, Kenneth Hanley, Clifford Norford and Lloyd Norford; favorite niece, Michela Norford; brother, Michael Norford; special cousins, Sheldon Brooks, Seana (Dawn) Brooks, and Shenelle Francis; godchildren, Jaheid Maynard, J'ahnique Sylvester; Lunique Henley and Shamar Hart; special friend, Chastity Caines; close friends, Cosme "Chuck" Christian, Julian Industrious, Tariq "Gus" Turnbull, Yakim Baptiste, and Karina Rawlins; and many other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are by John Thomas Memorial Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services.
