May 27, 2005 – Starting Thursday, parking will no longer be allowed during the day on Lille Taarve Gade, the little street that climbs steeply from Norre Gade to the stairs leading up to Kongens Gade and Government House.
The street, which runs alongside the Edith L. Bornn Law Offices, "will be closed to all-day parking indefinitely," a Government House release issued on Tuesday stated. The move "is part of the overall plan to improve and upgrade the driving conditions and appearance of the roadway," it said.
Crews using heavy equipment will be working on the road bed in coming days, and any cars parked on the street will be ticketed and removed at the owner's expense, the release said.
