May 19, 2003 – The University of the Virgin Islands Bulletin Board issued today has these announcements:
UVI Confers 292 Degrees in 2003 Commencement Ceremonies
Congratulations to UVI's 2003 graduates. The University awarded 292 degrees in weekend commencement ceremonies on St. Thomas and St. Croix.
On St. Thomas 188 degrees were presented. They included 33 master's in arts in education, five master's in business administration, one master's in arts in public administration, 29 bachelor's in science, 89 bachelor;s in arts, four associate in science degrees and 27 associate in arts degrees.
On St. Croix 104 degrees were awarded. They included 11 master's in arts in education, six master's in business administration, one master's in arts in public administration, 10 bachelor's in science, 43 bachelor's in arts, nine associate in science degrees and 24 associate in arts degrees.
Congratulations to all the graduates and their families as well as to the UVI faculty, staff and administrators.
UVI Student Admission Period for Fall 2003 Classes Extended to May 30
The admission period for students wishing to enroll in fall 2003 classes at UVI has been extended to Friday, May 30. Undergraduate and graduate applications are being accepted. UVI offers associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees in business, mathematics, the physical and biological sciences, social sciences, education, nursing and the humanities.
Prospective students should submit an admissions application to the admissions office on either campus. Along with the UVI application, an official high school or college transcript is required. SAT or ACT scores should be included. CXC, GCE or CAPE results are required if applicable. The application fee is $20.

Summer Registration
Summer registration will be conducted June 5 and 6 on St. Thomas and St. Croix. Summer session will run from Monday, June 9, to Wednesday, July 23.

St. Croix – June 5: M-R (1 – 4 p.m.); S-Z (4 – 6 p.m.)
St. Croix – June 6: A-F (1 – 4 p.m.); G-L (4 – 6 p.m.)
Summer Session Late Registration
St. Thomas – June 9, noon – 6 p.m.
St. Croix – June 9-10, noon – 4 p.m.
