SHOULD STRIDIRON FIND ANOTHER JOB?

Good morning,
I've just finished reading Judi's article about Attorney General Iver Stridiron appealing District Judge Thomas K. Moore's ruling on how the V.I. assesses property taxes. Ms. Shimel, nice article.
My personal opinion is that Mr. Stridiron should find another job, as should the head of the tax assessor's office … what's his name???? … Roy Martin or whatever. Neither of them have a clue about their jobs or their responsibility to the people of the Virgin Islands. I mean … HELLO Iver and Roy!!!!! Federal law has and always will supercede local law … that comes with being part of the USA, whether you are a state, territory or U.S. protectorate.
The V.I. government doesn't mind using federal money for local projects (road maintenance, FEMA, making payroll, etc.) but when it comes to collecting/generating revenue, the government wants to go by its own rules, which goes against federal law … not gonna happen. Iver and Charles (Turnbull) can't have their cake and eat it too. It's too bad they've decided to throw the taxpayers' money down the drain, but then again … I didn't vote for Turnbull so I don't feel that bad about the continuing financial waste and unaccountability the V.I. government insists on pursuing. The governor and A.G. (Stridiron) are in denial and should get into some sort of 12-step program, but we all know that will never happen. They just want their paychecks and to "he*#" with everyone else in the territory.
Thanks,
Chris Patton,
St. Croix
