May 12, 2003 On Wednesday, Rotary Club of St. Thomas II will announce the 23rd recipient of the organization's Person of the Year award at its weekly meeting at Frenchman's Reef Hotel.
The Person of the Year recognizes one who courageously struggles against all odds to significantly improve the community. Club President Tom Bolt said, "We present this award in hopes that it will inspire and encourage potential leaders, young and old, to exhibit strength of character, and to give of themselves in work for the common good."
The award, a statuette of Don Quixote, is intended to signify the recipient's selfless dedication to community. The 2003 Person of the Year award will be announced by last year's winner, Mac Davis, who is also the committee chairman.
