DEATH OF GEORGE GOLDEN IN FLORIDA REPORTED

Feb. 19, 2003 – George V. Golden Sr., a retired career government employee, died Feb. 16 in Florida, according to a release from Government House expressing the condolences of Gov. Charles W. Turnbull to his family and friends.
Golden as a St. Croix resident had held positions in the Education Department, the Coastal Zone Management program, the Consumer Service Administration and, most recently, the Lottery Commission, according to the release. And he had served as acting V.I. Lottery executive director.
