PAINT DEPOT TAKES ADVI'S 'BEST OF SHOW'

June 22, 2002 – Best of Show honors at the Advertising Club of the Virgin Islands' 21st annual ADVI Awards presentation Saturday night went to The Paint Depot for a series of in-house print ads.
A total of 25 gold and 36 silver ADVI awards for work done in the last 12 months were presented at the gathering of advertising industry professionals and guests at Pistarckle Theater in Tillett Gardens on St. Thomas. Winners represented St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John.
Austin Advertising on St. Thomas set the pace with 15 awards, in addition to the Donald Plantz Award for Excellence in Radio — for Pizza Hut's "The Edge" campaign.
MLB Creative on St. Thomas collected 13 awards, including the most gold ADVI's, along with the Donald Plantz Award for Excellence in Print — for Banco Popular's "Island Angel" ad.
The Paint Depot on St. Thomas won a total of six awards, as did Acuda Design Studio on St. Croix. Infinity + 1 on St. Thomas captured five. TV2 on St. Thomas received three awards plus the Donald Plantz Award for Excellence in Television — for its Talk 2 promotion. Kate N Design on St. John also won three awards.
Monkeyfist Studios on St. John and Media Mate on St. Croix both collected two awards. Single winners were Bellows International and MSI Building Supplies on St. Thomas, Great Dane Inc. and Virgin Voice on St. John, and Lisa Spery and St. Croix Explorers on St. Croix.
