HERE WE COME A-CAROLING . . .

December 13, 2001 – The Harmony Dem music group will alternately entertain listeners and invite them to join in Christmas "sing-alongs" from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Molly Molones Irish pub in Red Hook.
Formed back in 1989, Harmony Dem consists at present of Fred and Polly Watts, Don Edwards and "Grizz" Skeels. In addition to their voices, the group features "Grizz" on electric bass, Don on guitar and Fred on autoharp.
The sing-along portions will feature carols and other Christmas songs, and there'll be handouts with the lyrics so people can sing the words instead of just fa-la-la.
While the audience intermittently rests its collective voices, Harmony Dem will present traditional music of Jamaica, South Africa, Appalachia and more.
Admission is free. Food and beverage service is a la carte.
