Nov. 21, 2001 – The St. Thomas chapter of the V.I. American Youth Soccer Organization plays host to the first Thanksgiving in Paradise Soccer Tournament on Friday and Saturday. It will be held at the University of the Virgin Islands field.
Anna Paiewonsky, an organizer of the event, said that it is a family fun event with food, drink and games.
She said that the under six and under 8 youths will participate in games throughout the weekend.
Several St. Thomas teams and All Star teams will compete against teams from St. Croix and the U.S. Navy base at Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico.
