STS. PETER & PAUL STUDENTS WALK FOR FUNDS

Oct. 16, 2001 – Students at Sts. Peter and Paul School invite the V.I. community to join students, teachers, staff, alumni, community leaders and supporters for the 2nd Annual Walk-A-Thon at 8:30 a.m. Friday. Pledges and contributions will support students' efforts to raise funds for their school.
Pre-kindergarten through senior high students – the entire student body – will walk the two-mile course roundtrip: from the school and along Veterans Drive on the waterfront to Nisky Center in Sub Base, and back, for a total of four miles. If the littlest ones get tired legs along the way, they'll have the option of being carried back by their accompanying senior-high walking partners, said Brother Larry Lavallee, principal.
Walkers will be urged forward by school groups such as the cheerleading squad, the "Jaguars" girls basketball team, steel pan band and student council members.
To participate or for more information call 774-5662.
