DPNR GETS $10K FOR FISHERY DATA

Delegate to Congress Donna Christian-Christensen announced today that the V.I. Department of Planning and Natural Resources will receive $10,000 from the United States Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration division.
This award is for use on DPNR's Southeast area monitoring and assessment program. The objective of this program is to collect, manage, and disseminate fishery-independent data on the marine resources and their environment, within the territorial sea and Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) contiguous to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
