SEARCH TURNS UP BODY NEAR YACHT HAVEN

A 21-year-old New Zealand native apparently drowned over the weekend near the Yacht Haven marina, according to police reports.
Crew members of the yacht Mikala Rose reported to police Sunday morning that another crew member was last seen swimming near the marina Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m. But a search by St. Thomas Rescue personnel Sunday turned up nothing.
Police said the body of the missing crew member was found Monday during a search by Department of Planning and Natural Resources personnel, police and a diver. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of kin.
Police said an autopsy will be performed to rule out foul play.
