ATHLETES CELEBRATE MLK DAY WITH 25K RUN

Runners on St. Croix celebrated the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday as participants in the annual Martin Luther King Fort-To-Fort Memorial 25k Run.
The non-competitive event saw runners start from near Fort Christiansvaern in Christiansted, west along North Side Road to Midland Road and Mahogany Road to Fort Frederik in Frederiksted. The total distance was 15.5 miles.
This year’s participants included: Dr. Marlon Williams; Kent Bradbury; Leopold Fredericks; Theresa Harper; Jo Shim; Elan Donavan; Luke Fredericks; Anna Kowalski and Paul Radix. The runners averaged between 6 and 10 minutes per mile for the distance.
The next event on the V.I. Pace Runners calendar is the 15th Annual Toast-To-The Captain Road Race on Feb. 10. More information is available at 777-0258 or online by clicking here.
