POLICE CALL WINTBERG SHOOTING DEATH SUICIDE

St. Thomas police have classified as suicide the shooting death of 35-year-old Wintberg resident Terrance Grosvenor.
Police were reportedly summoned to a Wintberg home shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday morning after reports of shots fired.
Territorial Police Chief Jose Garcia said in a terse statement Thursday morning that a female companion of the victim told investigators Grosvenor was acting strangely before firing a .38-caliber revolver in her direction. The Source has learned that Grosvenor arrived home, appeared disturbed and paced the floor before going outside the home and returning a while later.
The female companion, whom police have not identified, is reported to have gotten in her vehicle to leave the home when Grosvenor discharged a shot towards the vehicle, causing the woman to run the vehicle into a tree.
Grosvenor is then reported to have turned the revolver on himself, inflicting a single gunshot wound to the head. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
Garcia said the case remains under review with detectives in the process of interviewing several witnesses to the shooting.
