The St. Thomas-St. John Chamber of Commerce along with The Inn at Blackbeard's Castle will hold a special "Meet the Candidates" Business After Hours starting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 at Blackbeard's Castle.
A newsletter from the chamber said, "We must elect public servants that truly care about changing the quality of life for all residents. Leaders that not only say, but demonstrate that they want to see our economy grow – and are not afraid to make tough decisions."
The newsletter also pointed out that in the period between 1993 and 1999 the number of private sector jobs decreased by 7,190.
The chamber encourages members, guests, and potential members to attend the gathering.
