Annette Shuck, a professor of education at the University of the Virgin Islands, has recently been selected for inclusion in four biographical directories published by Marquis Whos Who.
Shuck was selected for inclusion in the sixth edition of Whos Who Among Americas Teachers 2000. She was nominated by former UVI student Tessa Baker, who said she recommended Shuck because she made a difference in her life. Only high school and college students who have been cited for academic excellence themselves in Whos Who Among American High School Students and The National Deans List, respectively, are invited to nominate one teacher from their entire academic experience. Only 2.5 percent of U.S. college teachers are honored in Whos Who.
Additionally, Shuck will be profiled in the 22nd edition of Whos Who in American Women, in the 55th edition of Whos Who in America and in the 18th edition of Whos Who in the World.
Shuck received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and English from Bloomsburg State College in Bloomsburg, Pa. and a masters degree and doctorate in special education and counseling psychology from West Virginia University.
