Business After Hours
UVI and the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring "Business After Hours," a business networking event, in the UVI Student Center on Thursday, April 27 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. UVI faculty, staff, alumni, members of the Class of 2000 and community businesses are invited to attend. Those who plan to attend should call Stella Saunders at 692-4023.
St. John field trip
The Water Resources Research Institute will sponsor a workshop and field trip on soil loss caused by rainfall runoff on Friday, April 28. The workshop and field trip will be conducted on St. John by Colorado State University graduate student Carlos Ramos. After a 9 a.m. presentation at the Cruz Bay Plaza, the field trip will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m., with a break for lunch. Participants should call the WRRI to indicate that they plan to attend. For further information contact the Water Resources Research Institute at 693-1062.
Alzheimer's Disease information
UVI Nursing Students will provide basic information to the public on Alzheimer's Disease on Friday, April 28 from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Center Court of the Tutu Park Mall. The students will answer questions about signs and symptoms of Alzheimer's as well as what to expect from family members who may have the disease. They will also provide information on family resources.
