SEEK PROTECTION FROM POLICE, READER ADVISES

Dear Source,
I have been following the case of the so-called police officer's confrontation with the civilian and his fiancee resulting from a traffic violation. This kind of strong reprimand is the sort of punishment I expected.
What the civilian man said to the officer, no matter how offensive, should have no bearing on the outcome of this investigation and its resulting consequences. Adding to that, the facts that the so-called police officer said he would be looking for this man (presumably to get even) and that he told the man's fiancee he hoped she got raped (!), we seem to be dealing with a very unstable person.
If I were this civilian man, I would make sure to watch my back wherever I go. I would also seek counsel to find out if there is anything I could do to make sure I was protected and my rights were not trampled on any further. Good luck!
This incident is another in a long line of published events which will surely bring more tourists to your wonderful paradise.
