HURRICANES OVERPOWER WARRIORS

The Antilles Hurricanes topped the Wesleyan Warriors 13-3, in varsity baseball action at the Michael J. Kirwin Terrence ballpark. The Hurricanes' pounded out 16 hits off Warriors' pitcher, Myron Royer.
Hurricanes pitcher, Matt Harlow, struck out six Warriors while only allowing two walks.
The Hurricanes jumped out to an early lead scoring five runs, with six hits in the first inning. The Hurricanes' hitting was highlighted by first baseman, James Gardner's 3 run homerun to straight away center field that Gardner knew was gone. Hurricane center fielder, Luke Neely, hit a 2 run homerun in the second innings.
The Hurricanes never looked back. They took a 9-3 lead after three innings. Rodney Evans, the Hurricanes' catcher led off the fifth inning with a solo homerun. The Hurricanes then reached category five status scoring three more runs without getting out. Third baseman, Bryan Fredricks hit the game winning single to bring home Gardner to end the game.
"They played real good and hit well through out the lineup." Hurricanes' manager and league commissioner, Ken Harlow noted.
