PARALYSIS ON ST. CROIX?

It is the view, from this chair, that our dear community has entered into a state of total paralysis.
My opinion is based on the total lack of general activity, lack of spending, lack of phone inquiries, etc. All of which would indicate that we do not have a vibrant economy.
We have not received a plan on how to achieve one, and our general quality of life continues to deteriorate.
Now the questions: Why is everyone silent? Fear, grim resignation, or personal preoccupation in self-salvage?
Does anyone know what to do?
Do we have confidence in this government and its ability to solve the crisis?
How long should the Chamber of Commerce wait — in silence?
There are answers to these questions. I would like to hear yours!
Editors' note: Gay Haines is the director of the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce.
