HAWAII READER CAN'T IGNORE CONDITIONS

Dear people from Michigan,
We wish you a happy retirement on St Croix. Maybe things are very different on that island. We may still move to St Thomas but would find it hard not to be angry about schools where students have to relieve themselves in the bushes because the washrooms don't function , about the plight of the unemployed youth who turn to cocaine to ease the pain of living, about the lack of funding for education, roads, water supply, garbage collection, power supply, crime fighting, halting domestic violence , about the decline of a once wonderful hotel now being run by a drug addict, most of all about the extreme contrast between "the have too much" and the "have too little". Where is the money from the US going? St Croix?
