FATAL SHOOTING IS FIFTH HOMICIDE THIS YEAR

Leon Dennis, 60, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital as a result of a gunshot wound to the head. No motive for the shooting has been established.
Dennis was shot at 12:10 a.m. Monday after emerging from a vehicle where he had been sitting with an unidentified female near the Water and Power Authority water tanks in Sub Base.
The woman told police that Dennis got out of the car and shortly thereafter she heard two shots fired. When she got out of the vehicle, she found Dennis had been shot.
Dennis is the fifth homicide in St. Thomas for the year and the 11th in the territory.
Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the Investigation Bureau at 774-4050 or at 774-2233.
