WAPA STILL

The power was on and off all day Tuesday in residential districts on St. Thomas due to problems with three generating units at the Water and Power Authority's Krum Bay plant. If they can't fix the problem the power will be rotated all evening.
WAPA issued a release late Tuesday afternoon saying they were still experiencing problems with unit 15.
The initial problem with the fuel pump was repaired, but there were other problems with control mechanisms on the unit, according to the release.
WAPA attempted to provide electrical service to the commercial sectors during the day, but if the problems persist into the evening they will implement a rotation schedule as follows:
Time —- On —- Off
4 p.m. —-7A —- 6A
5 p.m. —-6A —- 9A
6 p.m. —-9A —- 10B
7 p.m. —-10B —- 10A
8 p.m. —-10A —- 8A
9 p.m. —- 8A —- 9B
