Sen. Lorraine L. Berry has asked for updates by March 19 from various government agencies on dozens of capital improvement projects approved by the Legislature last April.
In April senators reprogrammed millions of dollars from bond proceeds for various projects, Berry's release noted.
Among them: renovation of the Alexander A. Farrelly Criminal Justice Complex; establishment of a psychiatric unit at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital; phase II of the Savan Gut project; and work on the Turpentine Run flood control project.
Berry said these projects are "vitally important not only in themselves but as a stimulus to the Virgin Islands' economic recovery initiative and to produce revenues calculated in the upcoming executive budget."
