The West Indian Company Limited is projecting approximately 1.25 million cruise passengers and 359 vessel calls during fiscal year 2027, according to a press release released Tuesday by WICO President and CEO Joseph Boschulte.
The projected schedule covers the period from October 2026 through September 2027 and includes calls from several major cruise operators, including Carnival Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Viking Cruises, Virgin Voyages and Crystal Cruises, the press release stated.
Among the scheduled arrivals are five vessels expected to make their first calls at the WICO dock: Carnival Festivale, Carnival Firenze, Explora III, Norwegian Aura and Seven Seas Prestige, the release stated.
Boschulte said the upcoming season reflects continued growth in a sector that supports a broad range of local businesses.
“I am excited about the forthcoming season at the WICO dock,” Boschulte said in a press release. “The continued growth of our cruise industry represents more than passenger arrivals. It supports the Virgin Islands economy and the many small businesses that help make our destination unique, from taxi operators and tour providers to restaurants, retailers and other local entrepreneurs.”
The FY2027 schedule includes a mix of returning and new vessels from cruise lines serving the Caribbean market and is expected to bring a steady flow of visitors to St. Thomas throughout the year, the release stated.
According to WICO, the complete FY2027 cruise call schedule is available online in its FY2027 ship schedule document.
