Mary Lucillia Jean-Baptiste died on Aug. 2. She was 100 years old.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Jean-Baptiste; son, Louis Jean-Baptiste, William Jean-Baptiste, Allen Jean-Baptiste: sister, Zeta Francis-Selise; daughters-in-law: Antilia Jean-Baptiste, Joan Jean-Baptiste and Lucillia โ€œDeanโ€ Jean-Baptiste; sons-in-law: Joseph Fredricks and Nelson Joseph; grandsons: Dwayne Jean-Baptiste and Alva Jean-Baptiste; and granddaughter, Latoya Jean-Baptiste.

She is survived by her sons: Peter Jean-Baptiste, Joseph Jean-Baptiste, Justin Jean-Baptiste, Vaughn Jean-Baptiste, Victor Jean-Baptiste and Williamson Jean-Baptiste; daughters: Marie Modeste and Justina Jn-Baptiste-Josepha; Urelca Jean-Baptiste, Jean-Baptiste, Anna Jean-Baptiste and Anne Jean-Baptiste; and daughters-in-law: Anastasia Jean-Baptiste, Agnita Jean-Baptiste, Veronica Jean-Baptiste, Uselda Jean-Baptiste and Julia Jean-Baptiste.

She is also survived by her sons-in-law: Thomas Modeste, Dr. Lee Thomas and Rosanna Jean-Baptiste; goddaughters: Etheline Ruben and Sherley Poleon; godson, Junior Jean-Baptiste; families: the Jacobses, Francises, Ambroses, McFarlands and Jean Baptistes; 71 grandchildren; 140 great-grandchildren; 50 great-great-grandchildren; and many more families and friends too numerous to mention.

May Mary Lucillia Jean-Baptiste rest in the arms of the Lord.

There will be a viewing from 5-7 p.m., Sept. 13, at Turnbullโ€™s Funeral Home and Crematory. From 9-11 a.m. on Sept. 14, there will be a funeral held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The burial will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
