Police officers arrested a St. Croix Central High School student Friday for brandishing a box cutter, which is considered a weapon.
Kadeem Joseph, a resident of the John F. Kennedy housing community, was arrested shortly before 12 p.m. and charged with brandishing and exhibiting a deadly weapon after he exhibited the box cutter in the presence of two school monitors on campus.
Police said Joseph was in possession of the weapon when he was arrested. Joseph’s bail was set at $10,000, and he was remanded to the Golden Grove Correctional Facility.
