The Humane Society of St. Thomas will host its first Designer Sale Party, a fundraiser supporting the organization’s goal to open its new Humane Care Campus facility. The event, scheduled for 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, will be held in the Banquet Room at Mahogany Run Golf Course.
Humane Society of St. Thomas Holds Designer Sale Party
The Designer Sale Party event endeavors to raise sufficient funds to help complete the newly constructed facility, while also offering attendees an opportunity to purchase select quality new and gently-used designer fashions and home décor items at attractive savings.
“In these economically challenging times, this is an excellent chance for the style- and budget- conscious to bid on designer fashions, shoes, accessories and items for the home that might, if purchased at full retail price, be out of reach,” said Dellia Holodenschi, program director of the Humane Society’s Cat Café. “There will also be a silent auction offering a great selection of giftable items, and promises something for everyone.” A sampling of fashions to be auctioned includes bags by Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacob, Roberto Vascon and Thierry Mugler as well as shoes and accessories by such notable designer names as Gucci, Chlöe, Anne Klein, DK Co., Ralph Lauren and Dior. “The list keeps growing,” added Holodenschi, “with additional designer donations pouring in every day.” Donations of new and lightly used designer clothing and household items for the auction will be accepted through Dec. 9.
The $20 donation for admission includes complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvres, plus one raffle chance to win a free weekend stay for two persons at the Westin St. John Resort. The winning raffle ticket will be drawn at the end of the event. The winner of the raffle need not be present at the event to win but must submit numbered and completed raffle ticket stubs to be able to claim the prize.
Tickets to the Designer Sale Party may be purchased at the Humane Society of St. Thomas, Artistic Jewelers, How ‘bout Your Pet, and Home Again. They will also be available at the door on the date of the event.
