Workshop on Co-Teaching Planned for Special Education and General Education Teachers
Richards said, “This workshop will be a very informative and interactive forum for teachers during which they can gather information and collaborate with other professionals toward the utilization and effective implementation of co-teaching strategies in their classrooms. Our keynote speaker for the workshop will be author of “Co-Teach! A Manual for Creating and Sustaining Effective Classroom Partnerships in Inclusive Schools,” Dr.Marilyn Friend. Dr. Friend’s presentation will aid in the understanding of the objective of co-teaching leading to its effectiveness and implementation.” Following the Thursday workshop, on Friday, Sept. 25, Friend will perform several classroom visits throughout the district.
