Open for Business: Auto Spa

Car pampered at Auto SpaGiven my work load recently, cleaning my car has not been at the top of my "must do" list. But it is a really nice car and deserves better treatment than I can give. So, remembering Victor Brown’s AutoSpa, which we had done an @work story on, and that I had taken a previous car to, I gave Victor a call.
Princess and I arrived mid morning Saturday at the Spa. She shivered with joy at the site of Gene and his car cleaning apparatus, soft mitt, lovely clean cloths, welcoming smile on his face.
My husband followed me to the Quonset hut on Turpentine Run that is home to the AutoSpa so we could run errands while Princess had her down time. Or perhaps I should say "up" time.
An hour or so later when we returned, I honestly didn’t recognize my baby. Shining and obviously proud of her clean look, there she sat, her resale value (not that I ever intend to sell her) increased exponentially, feeling and looking like brand new.
Victor and I chatted briefly about how the downturn in the economy has affected his business.
On the way home as I thought about the trickle-down effect of the economy, I decided to write up a little blog about Victor and the Auto Spa, and to invite you – our readers – to submit your own stories about your favorite small businesses and how you are enjoying and supporting them through these changing times and keeping them open for business!
Victor and Gene, I thank you for taking care of my car. You can reach Victor at 690-9201 to make an appointment for your baby.
Please send us your "Open for Business" stories to the Source using the "contact us" function at the bottom of the page.
