Gov. Charles Turnbull has submitted his nominations to the Legislature for new executive directors of the Public Services Commission and the Taxicab Commission.
The governor nominated Keithly R. Joseph, former executive director of the Taxicab Commission, to become executive director of the PSC, which regulates telephone, cable television and ferry services in the territory.
Joseph, who has been acting PSC executive director since February, has more than two decades of business management experience and has served as an administrator with several financial institutions, according to a Government House release.
Turnbull nominated Harold M. Baker to become executive director of the Taxicab Commission, which regulates the taxi industry.
Baker, who assumed the position in an acting capacity Wednesday, is a former deputy commissioner and central stores director of the Property and Procurement Department. He was most recently involved in a private-sector job placement program. His training and background include labor relations and human resources management.
