Rotary II will once again present its Person of the Year Award at the group's regular weekly meeting at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Frenchman's Reef Windows on the Harbor room.
The name of the recipient is traditionally the best-kept secret on the island right up until presentation day.
According to a release from the organization, "The person of the year is one who courageously struggles against all odds to create a positive effect on the course of island events."
Elliott 'Mac' Davis, who chairs the award committee, said, "It is a continuing tribute to our community that each year we have such a difficult task in choosing from an extensive and worthy field of potential recipients."
