Milking parlor

This is the old milking parlor at Estate Windsor Forest dairy farm on St. Croix. In the 1880s, Alice Lloyd was one of the early pioneers with her husband of dairy farming in the Virgin Islands. According to the 1969 census, seven commercial dairy farms in the islands held over one quarter of the total land in farms and accounted for 69 percent of the value of all farm products sold.
