Damelia Akeisha Correa, better known as “Akeisha.” of St. Thomas died on Tuesday, May 23, at her residence in Humble, Texas. She was 38 years old.
Damelia Correa is survived by her daughter, Denaiya Smith; mother, Eleen Henry; stepfather, Wilbur Petersen; sisters: Shaharazad and Shahara-Ann Donastorg, and D’Lisa Correa; brothers: Daniel Jr., Dario and Aqueen Correa; grandparents: Aurio and Joyce Correa; aunts: Lorraine Henry Hodge, Jennifer Henry Browne, Hazel Henry-Heywood, Luz Correa-Chesterfield, Anna Correa-Parson and Monee Paris-Richards; uncles: Hughlyn, Priestly and Junior Henry, Miguel Correa, Omar Brown, Wilfred Henry, Burton Henley, Ray Chesterfield Sr., Delphine Correa, Kelvin Parson and Ade Richards; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a first viewing from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 15, at the Celestial Chapel of Hurley Funeral Home. A second viewing will be held at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 9 a.m., Friday, June 16, at the First Pentecostal Church, Donoe Bypass. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.
