Timothy Joshua Jeffers Dies at 89

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy Joshua Jeffers, who departed this life on May 3, 2025, at the age of 89.

Timothy Joshua Jeffers

Born on Oct. 6, 1935, Timothy was a man of deep wisdom, unwavering faith, and boundless compassion. He lived a life marked by quiet strength, gentle humor, and a steadfast dedication to family, friends, and community.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Josephine Jeffers, who stood faithfully by his side throughout their many years together. Though he has joined his beloved mother, Emily Neale, and sister, Gloria Felix, in eternal rest, his legacy lives on through his cherished children: daughters Uldine Richards, Onah Harley, Dorothy Arthurton, Paulette Matthews, Beverly Lake, Jamina Jeffers, and Carmen Jeffers-Mills, and his son, Joseph Jeffers.

Timothy was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren and a joyful great-grandfather to 19 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. He also leaves behind his loving brother Godfrey Neale, and sisters Pearline Neale, Henrietta Charles, and Isilma Daniel, along with 14 nieces, numerous cousins, and an extended family too large to name but never forgotten in his heart.

His life was also enriched by the enduring friendships he shared with Chesney Otto, Veronica Henry, Melford Hazel, Yvonne Isle and family, Dr. Lakhram, the compassionate staff of the JFL Dialysis Center, and countless others who were touched by his kindness and spirit.

Timothy will be remembered for his humility, integrity, and deep sense of community. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or a quiet prayer, he made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Viewing will be held on May 29, at Divine Chapel, Estate Peterโ€™s Rest, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

ย Funeral service will take place on May 30, with a viewing beginning at 9 a.m., followed by the service at 10 a.m. at Ebenezer Methodist Church in Estate Richmond, Christiansted.

Interment will follow to Kingshill Cemetery.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
