A St. Croix woman came home to find a stranger in her bathroom shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday. The man allegedly exposed and fondled himself before pushing her to the ground, police said Tuesday.

Police charged Omarion Webbe, 22, with burglary and unlawful sexual assault. It was the second set of similar charges in less than three years against Webbe.

In May 2024, Webbe was sentenced to 90 days in jail after pleading guilty to obscene and indecent conduct. In a plea agreement, prosecutors dropped charges of unlawful sexual contact.

Webbe allegedly waited outside the home of a woman he did not know at the Harborview Apartments in Christiansted the morning of Aug. 23, 2022. When she came home and started putting away her groceries, Webbe grabbed her buttocks. The woman told police she thought it was someone she knew but was shocked to turn and find a stranger touching her, police said. Webbe exposed and fondled himself, according to court records. The woman attempted to close her door but Webbe jammed his foot in the way. When she screamed, Webbe ran off. The victim said her neighbors had reported a strange man masturbating in front of their doors in recent weeks.

Saturday, the victim tried to call police to say a man, later identified as Webbe, was trying to rob her but the line went dead. Surveillance camera footage and the victimโ€™s description led police to Webbe, who was still in the area, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department.

Unable to post $75,000 bail, Webbe was remanded to the John Bell Correctional Facility pending his Advice of Rights Hearing.
