The Department of Public Works is updating the community on temporary road repairs made to areas damaged by recent heavy rains.

Last week, DPW contractor — Island Roads Inc. — laid a layer of asphalt in the pothole-riddled areas on Bolongo Bay Road, near the Bolongo Head Start, and on Nicholas Friday Drive, near the Food Center grocery store. While these temporary repairs are being completed to bring some relief to motorists, permanent repairs are scheduled to commence in early 2025. Those repairs will include the installation of concrete pavement and necessary drainage improvements.
The Department of Public Works appreciates the community’s patience as they work to improve road conditions throughout the territory.
