Daisy Cynthia Herbert

Daisy Cynthia Herbert, a gentle and beloved woman of God, was called home on Sept. 7. Born on June 18, 1941, Daisy lived a full life, fiercely loving her family and in service to others.

She was predeceased by her cherished mother, Eva Semper; father, John Semper; niece, Abigail Semper; brother, James Semper Sr.; sister, Mary Barrett; and brother, Albert Semper.

Daisy is survived by her daughter, Denise Melville; son, Ralph Herbert Jr.; grandson, Adam Melville; and granddaughter, Jโ€™lyssa Herbert.

She is also survived by her sisters: Gwendolyn Roberts (Oneal), Geraldine Semper, Laurel Martin (Romeo), Dannette John (Lenroy) and Sanjoy Semper-Edwards (Sean); and brother, Fitzgerald Semper (Linda).

Daisy also leaves to mourn: her nephews: Junior Semper, Rodney Barrett, James Semper Jr. and Vere Carr; nieces: Samantha Barrett-Acquah, Lisa Carr, Michella Benjamin and Courtney Carr; and a host of other loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Daisyโ€™s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends and all those who were blessed to have known her. Her passing will be mourned deeply.

The viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 23, at St. Johnโ€™s Episcopal Church, 27 Kings Street, Christiansted, St. Croix. The Interment will follow the service immediately at Kingshill Cemetery.
