Ray Vincent Stevens of Estate Humbug died on June 19. He was 29 years old.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cecilia Urgent; grandfathers: Edward Stevens Sr., Lenroy Phillip and John Jonas Sr.; aunts: Cludia and Eileen Urgent; son, Rayshan Stevens; and godmother, Velma Roberts
He is survived by his parents: Susan and Raymond “Stew” Stevens; grandmother, Beatrice Jonas; brothers: Clyde Stevens (Fla.), Ravon Stevens (Texas) and Akeem Stevens (STX); sisters: Cyd Stevens (Fla.), Roshan Stevens (Fla.), Monique Hawkins (Texas) and Carol Martinez (Fla.); and aunts: Claudia Carpenter (Fla.), Hazel Jonas-Hazel (NY), Monique Jonas(NJ), Carol Martinez (Fla.).
He is also survived by uncles: Edward Stevens (STX), Fitzroy George (STX), Devon (NY), Jerome (NY), John Jr. (Fla.), Christopher Jonas, and Alcedo Stevens; great aunts: Christophine Davis (Fla.), Cravelle Aaron (Antiqua) and Helen Francois (Antique); great-uncles: Edwin, Joseph and Samuel George (Antiqua); nephews: Rayshard Hickman, Rohan Muir, Hanoj Williams, Jabez and Alphonso Hawkins Jr.
He is also survived by nieces: Rasheema Greenidge, Mariyah and Aleesha Hawkins; brother-in-law, Alphonso Hawkins Jr.; sister-in-law, Aleyia Brown; and godparents: Patsy McFarlene, Julio Francis, Leslie Hawkins, Huge Daly and Phillip Ruiz.
Other survivors include a host of cousins and friends including; Fitztroy George Jr., Josephine Wiltshire, Glenneisha Hazel, Debra Bruce, Kelroy George, Dawn Fought, Glenniqua Hazel, Lenroy George, Glennoy Hazel, Nolda Francois, Margaret Bruce, Sanaa-Ranne Galloway, Joseph Bruce, Quinton Galloway, Samuel Bruce, Natalie Etienne, Candance Carpenter, Corey Carpenter, Vanderbilt III Carpenter, Jahania Jonas, Zakkai Jonas, Jayden Jonas, Leequan Edwards, Gequan Holley, Arlene Aaron-Bryon, Patrice Roberts, Terry-Ann George, Steve Aaron, Andy Morales, Jahmal Riviera, David Armstrong, Jimmy Plante and Randy Lawrence; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The family requests that those in attendance at the funeral wear white, royal blue or black colors.
The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 25, at Friedensberg Moravian Church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
