Operators of the ‘Big Red Barge’ have notified the Virgin Islands Port Authority that its car ferry will be offline indefinitely for mechanical repairs. In the interim, the vessel’s owner has chartered the ‘Virginia Pride’ car ferry and will use this vessel to operate the ‘Big Red Barge’s’ scheduled car ferry service between St. John and St. Thomas.
Love City Car Ferries also provides a car ferry service connecting St. John and St. Thomas, and it continues to operate on its usual schedule.
