Thirteen boats went out early Sunday morning to catch fish and compete in the Golden Hook Fishing Club’s Big 7 Fishing Tournament. The anglers were fishing for blue and white marlin, sailfish, wahoo, mahi, yellowfin tuna and kingfish. No billfish were caught, according to Jeremy Janusziewicz. The rules call for billfish and undersized fish to be released.
Golden Eagle and Ruffian each won $845 for largest fish and best boat. Gemini took home $585 for second-largest fist and Turtle Daze received $325 for the third-largest fish.
