Ignacio “Yolo” Monell died on Feb. 20. He was 96 years old.

He is survived by his daughters: Juana Baa and Carmen D. Dania; son, Julio Monell; stepchildren: Ana Hilda López, Buenaventura “Turín” López, Armando López, María Ester López and Cándido López; grandchildren: Maximiliano Soto Jr., Sonia Soto, Rosa Rios, Enrique Soto, Ani Soto, Benito Soto, Kamal Baa, Al Baa, Andres Dania, Emily Aaron, Julio Monell Jr. and Natasha Monell Arez; and step-grandchild: Almando “Mandito” López Jr.

He is also survived by his daughter-in-law: Carmen P. Monell; step-granddaughter-in-law, María López; son-in-law, Orlando Baa; nieces and nephews: Marcela Saldaña, Jorge Ventura, Melvin Monell, Feliciano Cintrón, Carmen L. Romero, Avelino Romero, Gloria Middleton, Felix Parrilla Jr., Manuel Parrilla, Roberto Parrilla and Luz Moss; great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews; as well as family and friends too numerous to mention.

The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, March 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
