The V.I. Police Department is seeking O’marley Charles, who has been identified as a suspect in the shooting death of Hans Oliver early Sunday morning on Brookman Road.
According to police, Charles is in his late twenties, has a brown complexion, black hair, dark brown eyes and is originally from Baie Mahault, Guadloupe.
It was the ninth homicide on St. Thomas since the beginning of the ywar, the 12th in the territory.
The incident was reported at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday when the 911 dispatch center received a report of a shooting on Brookman Road.
Officers arriving at the Schneider Regional Medical Center made contact with a black man who was being treated by the emergency room staff for multiple gunshot wounds about the body. Because the victim was in critical condition, officers were unable to retrieve any further information from him.
The victim, identified as 38-year-old Hans Oliver, died of his injuries at approximately 8:30 a.m. Next of kin was present and provided positive identification,
