DLCA Releases Its Latest Gas Survey

The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) notifies the public of its latest territory-wide gas price survey findings. The survey was completed on Dec. 17, on St. Croix and Dec. 18, on St. Thomas and St. John.

Survey findings indicated price increases on St. Croix and St. John on self-service regular fuel. The increase affects the lowest price offered on both islands for this fuel type. On St. Croix, regular self service increased by 10 cents, from $2.52 to $2.53 per gallon. St. John experienced an increase of 5 cents, from $3.11 to $3.16 per gallon. On St. Thomas, the highest price per gallon offered for self-service fuel decreased. Regular dropped from $3.17 to $3.09 per gallon and premium decreased from $3.27 to $3.19 per gallon. The lowest prices remained the same for all fuel types on St. Thomas.
St. Croix
The following information indicates where consumers can find the best bargain for gasoline in the St. Croix District. LaReine Service Station Inc. Full Service: Premium 3.099 and Regular 2.899. 7 Days Service Station and Mini Mart: Self Service: Premium 2.699. East End Service Station: Regular 2.539. A&H Service Station, LLC Amigos Service Station and Choice Service Station: Diesel 2.699
The highest prices found on St. Croix for full service gasoline were $3.89 for premium and $3.79 for regular. The highest prices for self service gasoline were $2.95 for premium and $2.59 for regular. The highest price per gallon for diesel fuel was at $3.50.
St. Thomas
The following information indicates where consumers can find the best bargain for gasoline on St. Thomas. Domino of Smith Bay: Full Service: Premium 3.069 and Regular 2.959. Domino Airport: Regular 2.959. One Stop of Sugar Estate Self Service: Premium 3.709 and Race Track of Sugar Estate Regular 2.959. Giant Gas of Mandela Circle Diesel 2.999.
The highest prices found on St. Thomas for full service gasoline were $3.31for premium and $3.19 for regular. The highest self service gasoline prices were $3.19 for premium and $3.09 for regular. The highest price for diesel fuel was at $3.30 per gallon.
St. John
The following information indicates full service and self service gasoline prices for St. John, and the best bargain on diesel fuel. E&C Self Service: Premium 3.249 and Regular 3.169 and Diesel 3.189. Domino Oil Full Service: Premium 3.089 and Regular 2.969.
