Education HR Sets New Dates for Workshops for School Personnel

Department of Education Human Resources Director Karen L. Blyden has announced the re-scheduled dates for the InterpersonalCommunication Skills in the Workplace Workshops for Front-end, Clerical and Administrative Personnel. Persons who pre-registered for the course are advised that the workshops will now be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, at UVI-CELL from 9 a.m. on St. Thomas; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the UVI-CELL Building on St. Croix.

Blyden said,The department is committed to providing professional development opportunities for all employees. A major focus of the HR Division’s mission is quality customer service and care. And as such, these sessions target our front-end personnel, which include receptionists, secretaries and other clerical/administrative persons.”
The workshop, conducted by the UVI-CELL office, is part of an ongoing series of activities sponsored by the department to provide improved services to clients and staff. “We at the Education Human Resources Division are making it our responsibility to support personnel with the necessary means to provide each client with excellent service and thereby ensuring that we continue to have great public schools and activity centers throughout the territory,” said the director.
