Vernie Y. Williams-Bermudez of Work & Rest died on Nov. 27, at her residence. She was 44 years old.

She is survived by her spouse, Reinaldo Bermudez; daughter, Rebecca Bermudez; son, Elijah Bermudez; grandchild, Nasir Gore; sisters: Anita Gasparde, Felicia Watters, Ebony Williams, Barbara A. Williams and Sarah Williams; and brothers: Ted, Darnley Ian and Ben Williams. She is also survived by nieces: Crystal and Courtney Hicks, Anguanette Gaspard and Lareena Gerome; nephews: Johnny, Junior and Jermaine Gaspard, Steven Watters, Clyde Hicks, John and Delroy Jr. Rhymer, Joshua and Johnathan Williams, Michael Cruz, and Jahafri, Omari and Micah Wiliams; great nieces: Egypt Jackson, China Hicks and Mya Williams; great nephews: Tariq Williams and Elijah Jackson; mother-in-law, Inocencia Bermudez; sisters-in-law: Anna Meca, Marie Williams, Magaly, Angelita and Yolanda Bermudez; brothers-in-law: Albert Gaspard, Stevens Watters and Manuel Cruz, Aureo Jr., Julio and Andres Bermudez ; family friends: Paulina Panthier, Mr.& Mrs. Sarauw, and the staff of Comoloco; special friends: Sherlene, Marva and Germaine; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, at the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Richmond. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
