Warren Alexander Newton Dies at 83

Warren Alexander NewtonWarren Alexander Newton, also known as “A.C.I.” of Royal Manor died on Nov. 29. He was 83 years old.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elfreda E. Derweer-Newton; sons: John Oniel, Russell, Glenn, Clyde and Oswin Newton, and Stanley Euson; daughters: Thelma Miranda and Jeanice Newton, and Agnes Newton-Yarwood; grandchildren: Jamal, Rashima, Kimani and Akeem Newton, Kahim Newton, Jermaine Lynch, Tamekka and Tameisha Newton, Reynaldo Philbert, Candice Ward, and Jibri, Sade, Joshua, Zachary, Jumaane, Rashidi, Shakeel, Kimberly Lewis, Jelani, Kenya and Kaif Osaze Newton, and Roy and Trevor Rembert; and great-grandchildren: Jahmiah Newton, Kahim Newton Jr., Jahnya, Jahnea and Alijah Lynch, Rashidi Newton Jr., Natifah and Malachi Rembert. He is also survived by uncle, Charles Dossett; aunt, Emelda Nicholson; brother-in-law, Gordon Sony Derweer; sisters-in-law: Angelica Brown, Faustina Spanner, Gladys Rembert and Lenore Derweer; son-in-law, Paul Yarwood Jr.; daughters-in-law: Elsie, Sharon, Pamela, Lornette and Alex Newton; close family: the Brown family, Buka, Tencia and Patricio Jackson, Sharon and Corey Dossett, and Lloyd Williams and family; special friends: the Aarndel family, the Bryan family, the Springer family, the Rougier family, the Jones family and the Liburd family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Peter’s Rest Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
